Pay Types - Pay Rates (Back Payments)

With Single Touch Payroll Phase 2, there have been significant changes to reporting Pay Rates. Previously, all Pay Rates were reported as part of Gross. A majority of Pay Rates are now reported separately.

Alternative Duties (Workers Compensation) (Incorrect Hours)

Alternative Duties (Workers Compensation) (Incorrect Hours) applies when the Payee was underpaid Alternative Duties (Workers Compensation) in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours being recorded. This will affect the Payee's Leave Balances. If the Leave Balances do not need to be affected, Alternative Duties (Workers Compensation) (Incorrect Rate) should be used instead.

 

Payments with this Pay Rate use the Rate Per Hour set in the Payee Master File, and Leave Entitlements are applicable, provided the rules have been configured. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments), Taxable, and OTE (SGAA).

Payments with this Pay Rate use the $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) set within the Pay Rate, and Leave Entitlements are not applicable. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments), Taxable, and OTE (SGAA).


Breach of Meal Break (Incorrect Hours or Rate)

Breach of Meal Break (Incorrect Hours or Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Breach of Meal Break in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours or $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded.

 

Payments with this Pay Rate use the $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) set within the Pay Rate, and Leave Entitlements are not applicable. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments), Taxable, and OTE (SGAA).


Breach of Rest Break between Shifts (Incorrect Hours or Rate)

Breach of Rest Break between Shifts (Incorrect Hours or Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Breach of Rest Break between Shifts in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours or $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded.

 

Payments with this Pay Rate use the $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) set within the Pay Rate, and Leave Entitlements are not applicable. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments), Taxable, and OTE (SGAA).


Casual Loading (Incorrect Hours or Rate)

Casual Loading (Incorrect Hours or Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Casual Loading in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours or $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded.

 

Payments with this Pay Rate use the $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) set within the Pay Rate, and Leave Entitlements are not applicable. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments) and Taxable, however they are not OTE (SGAA).


Casual Loading (OTE, Incorrect Hours or Rate)

Casual Loading (OTE, Incorrect Hours or Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Casual Loading (OTE)  in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours or $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded.

 

Payments with this Pay Rate use the $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) set within the Pay Rate, and Leave Entitlements are not applicable. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments), Taxable, and OTE (SGAA).


Commission (Marginal Tax) (Incorrect Hours or Rate)

Commission (Marginal Tax) (Incorrect Hours or Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Commission (Marginal Tax) in a prior pay period, either due to incorrect hours or an incorrect $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded.

 

Compassionate & Bereavement Leave (Incorrect Hours) applies when the Payee was underpaid Compassionate and Bereavement Leave in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours being recorded. This will affect the Payee's Leave Balances. If the Leave Balances do not need to be affected, Compassionate & Bereavement Leave (Incorrect Rate) should be used instead.

 

Compassionate & Bereavement Leave (Incorrect Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Compassionate and Bereavement Leave in a prior pay period due to an incorrect $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded. This will NOT affect the Payee's Leave Balances. If the Leave Balances need to be affected, Compassionate & Bereavement Leave (Incorrect Hours) should be used instead.

 

Directors Fees (Incorrect Hours or Rate) applies when the Payee was underpaid Directors' Fees in a prior pay period due to incorrect hours or $ (or % of Rate Per Hour) being recorded.

 

Payments with this Pay Rate use the Rate Per Hour set in the Payee Master File, and Leave Entitlements are applicable, provided the rules have been configured. These payments are considered W1 (Total of Salary, Wages, and other payments), Taxable, and OTE (SGAA).


Double Time and Half (Incorrect Hours or Rate)
