Edit a Pay Type

🎯 System Default Pay Types cannot be edited; therefore, if the Pay Type needs to be updated, please follow Add a Pay Type instead.

 

  1. Select Pay Types from the side menu.
  2. Select User Modified.
  3. Locate the Pay Rate you require by manually scrolling through the Pay Type List, entering the name into Search or using Show Advanced Filters.
  4. Once the Pay Type has been located, select Actions > Edit.
  5. Change any details as required
    1. Pay Rate
      1. Pay Rate Details
        1. Description
        2. $ (or % of Rate Per Hour)
        3. Hide Quantity on the Pay Advice Slip and Summary Reports
        4. Hide Rate on the Pay Advice Slip
        5. An All Purpose Allowance is applicable
        6. Hours/Days Worked (Portable Long Service)
      2. Taxation
        1. Ordinary Pay/Wages (Portable Long Service)
        2. Include in Wages Declaration (WorkCover)
        3. Include in Payroll Tax (SRO)
      3. Superannuation
        1. OTE (SGAA)
        2. OTE (Industrial Instrument)
        3. Hours for Employer SG
      4. Leave Entitlements
        1. Annual Leave
        2. Sick & Carer's Leave
        3. Long Service Leave
        4. Rostered Days Off
    2. Allowance
      1. Allowance Details

        1. Description

        2. $ (or % of Rate Per Hour)

        3. Paid By

        4. Hide Quantity on the Pay Advice Slip and Summary Reports

        5. Hide Rate on the Pay Advice Slip

        6. Available in All Purpose Allowance
          🎯 If Available in All Purpose Allowance is disabled, the Allowance is either a System Default or already assigned to a Payee within the Pay Template; therefore, this setting cannot be changed. Please Remove a Pay Type from the Pay Template for a specific Payee or add a Pay Type, then complete the below.

      2. Taxation

        1. Ordinary Pay/Wages (Portable Long Service)

        2. Include in Wages Declaration (WorkCover)

        3. Include in Payroll Tax (SRO)

      3. Superannuation

        1. OTE (SGAA)

        2. OTE (Industrial Instrument)

    3. Deduction

      1. Deduction Details

        1. Description

        2. $ (or % of Rate Per Hour)

        3. Deducted By

        4. Hide Quantity on the Pay Advice Slip and Summary Reports

        5. Hide Rate on the Pay Advice Slip

        6. Available in Deduction Banking and Repayments.
          🎯 If Available in Deduction Banking and Repayments is disabled, the Deduction is either a System Default or already assigned to a Payee within the Pay Template; therefore, this setting cannot be changed. Please Remove a Pay Type from the Pay Template for a specific Payee or add a Pay Type, then complete the below.

      2. Taxation

        1. Include in Wages Declaration (WorkCover)

        2. Include in Payroll Tax (SRO)

      3. Reportable Fringe Benefits

        1. Other Benefit Type

        2. Factor

  1. Select Save.
